KIT FOR REALIZING A FENCE, METHOD OF ASSEMBLING THE FENCE USING THIS KIT AND FENCE THUS MOUNTED
The present invention relates to a kit for making a fence, a method of mounting the fence using this kit and the fence thus mounted. GB 2 259 924 has disclosed a barrier for use in gardens. It includes posts which have T-shaped grooves on two opposite sides of each other. The posts are connected by crosspieces at the ends of which a through hole is drilled into which a metal rod or made of plastic. You can then slide the crosspieces by their ends in the T-shaped grooves of the posts. EP 0 821122 A1 discloses rectangular or hexagonal posts having T-grooves over their entire length. These posts can be used to form barriers from planks whose edge is provided with a key forming a T-stud to enter and be received in the T-groove of a post. US 5,702,090 discloses a plastic barrier assembly with upper and lower rails with posts having longitudinal grooves for the introduction of spacer pieces intended to pinch the fence panels, to form sections in the extension to each other or at right angles. WO 2010/125391 A2 describes fence posts having grooves capable of receiving strips arranged in particular at 180 °, 90 ° or 135/45 °. The panels are pushed in by vertical sliding in the grooves of the posts with interposition of joints.
None of these fences, as well as those currently found on the market, makes it possible to offer a fence mounting kit making it possible to easily mount, without a multiplicity of parts and without the use of seals, a fence adaptable to all situations, with easily interchangeable, solid and aesthetic panels.
The present invention overcomes these drawbacks of the prior art and proposes a kit for producing a fence having all the desired qualities, with advantageously the same visual characteristics on one side or the other, without visible lateral screws. This last point can be of importance in the case of adjoining fences. To this end, the present invention therefore firstly relates to a kit for producing a fence, characterized in that it comprises: - at least two identical posts, each having four longitudinal grooves capable of receiving and holding panels , - the first two grooves being arranged to receive and maintain panels located at 180 ° from each other, - the third groove being arranged to receive and maintain panels located at 90 ° from each of the preceding panels, and - the fourth groove being arranged to receive and hold panels located at 45 °, 135 ° and 225 ° respectively from the panels introduced in the previous grooves, considering a counterclockwise direction around the central axis of the post; - Each groove having a bottom, two opposite side walls connecting to the bottom, and a front wall having a longitudinal slot for the passage of the associated panels, a groove for receiving the edge of the panels being formed in the bottom of each groove; and - a set of panels, each of which comprises, along each of its vertical edges in the mounting position, at least one pin for positioning said panel capable of being housed in the free space of the groove of the associated post, the wall split front delimiting the associated groove serving as a stop for the pin or positioning pins.
The grooves formed in the bottom of the grooves allow each panel to be in the plane containing the vertical axes of the two posts which it joins, thus avoiding deformations or offsets of the panel on one side or the other.
The pins also ensure that the panels are well perpendicular to the vertical posts.
The primary function of the pawns is that of preventing the panels from being torn off.
In a preferred embodiment, a positioning pin passes right through the panel to form two identical projections. This measure forces the posts to be vertical, being brought back to this position when the panels are put in place in case they are not vertical.
In particular, each panel can carry two pawns along each of its edges, advantageously due to a pawn in the vicinity of a corner of said panel.
There is in particular a clearance of the panel relative to its receiving groove to allow the sliding of said panel in the groove, such clearance being of a maximum of 5/10 of a millimeter.
Also, it is advisable that there is a clearance between the front wall of a groove and the positioning pin housed therein, such clearance being less than the depth of the groove.
The positioning pins are in particular formed by cylindrical pins forced into holes made in the panels.
In accordance with a particular embodiment, each post consists of a square shaped profile carrying externally: - on each of three sides, two walls perpendicular to said side and folded square at the front to form the split front wall of the groove associated whose bottom is formed by the side in question and carries externally and perpendicularly two ribs defining the groove for receiving the edge of the panels; and - on the remaining side of the square, two walls arranged at 45 ° relative to said side, the first starting from the angle or near the angle of said square and the second being arranged at a distance from the first, an external rib being formed between the two, said first wall and said rib delimiting the groove for receiving the edge of the panels, said first wall being folded square to the outside to form with said rib, the bottom of the associated groove, said return d square being folded back to form a front wall having a bead inwardly, which forms with a right angle of the second aforementioned second wall and then with a second right angle of the latter, the split front wall defining the groove associated, the front walls of the four grooves being joined by external walls of curved shape, the overall profile outside the post having a generally square shape whose edges are rounded. Each post can be associated with a foot plate comprising a central opening for receiving the base of the post to be welded therein and holes for the passage of means for fixing the post on the ground or on a wall.
Each post can also be able to be sealed at its base on the ground or on a low wall by the introduction of a quick-setting liquid cement through the open upper part of the profile forming the post and / or by the introduction of said base of the post into a sleeve protruding vertically from the ground or the wall, the profile forming the post internally having longitudinal ribs facilitating the attachment of the post on said sleeve or the attachment of quick-setting liquid cement. Each post can be associated with a shim or adjustment lard consisting of a plate having a tapped hole receiving a screw that is not completely screwed, said plate being able to be introduced by the upper part of the profile forming the post into the free space d 'A groove to be able to fall to the lower part of the post, the head of the screw exiting through the slot in the split front wall delimiting the groove and allowing to continue screwing to block the wedge at the desired height. Each post can be associated with a closure cover, consisting of a plate comprising passage holes for fixing screws capable of being retained in grooves formed by ribs carried by the post, or by a plug-type element comprising a body capable of being pressed into the upper part of the profile forming the post and connected to an upper plate bearing thereon.
Furthermore, the kit according to the invention advantageously comprises U-shaped parts for covering the upper or lower edge of a set of panels of the mounted fence element and / or H-shaped parts for joining two panels intended for be arranged one above the other.
The U-shaped pieces of cover and the H-shaped pieces of junction prevent the bending of the panels and guarantee a good alignment of the latter.
In accordance with a particular embodiment, the kit according to the invention comprises a U-shaped piece for covering the upper edge of a set of panels of the mounted fence element, said U-shaped piece being hollow, and at a post, is then associated an anti-theft member or making it possible to thwart a theft, said member being formed by a plate having two tongues in the extension of one another, joined by a connecting part, said plate being suitable for be introduced into one end of the U-shaped part by its first tab until it locks inside said U-shaped part, the second tab being able to be placed in the free space of the groove of the adjacent post in mounting position, and the connecting part being positioned in the slot of the split front wall, a closing cover then coming to close the upper part of the post.
The present invention also relates to a method of mounting a fence using the kit as defined above, characterized in that: - the posts are fixed to the ground in their respective positions at the angles required for complete the fence; - One slides by the top of each post and in the groove intended to receive the panels the shim for adjusting the desired height relative to the ground of the lower panel; - the lower panel intended to be placed between two posts is dressed with the U-shaped piece of covering coming to cover its lower edge and with the connecting H-shaped piece coming to cover its upper edge; - One or one of the optional intermediate panels or an upper panel is dressed respectively with a connecting H-shaped piece or a U-shaped covering piece covering its upper edge; - a lower panel is slid, then the possible intermediate panel or panels, then an upper panel by their edges, in the grooves opposite two neighboring posts, the edges of the panels being positioned in the associated grooves and the positioning pins coming from place in the free parts of the grooves; - If necessary, an anti-theft device is placed in a hollow upper covering part as defined above; - the covers for covering the upper parts of the posts are placed; - If the panels are longer than the space remaining between two neighboring posts, the panels are cut to the desired length, the perforations are made in the cut panels in the vicinity of the lateral edges for the placement of the pins.
Finally, the present invention relates to a fence mounted using the kit according to the invention or by the mounting method according to the invention.
To better illustrate the fence kit according to the present invention, there will be described below, by way of indication and not limitation, a particular embodiment with reference to the accompanying drawing.

If we refer to Figure 1, we can see that there is shown a fence element 1 composed of two posts 2a, 2b between which are mounted four panels 3a, 3b, 3c, 3d arranged one at above the other. In the example shown, the panels 3a and 3c are solid panels and the panels 3b and 3d are perforated panels.
The posts 2a, 2b are in particular profiles in extruded aluminum or in steel and the panels 3a to 3d are in particular in extruded aluminum or steel.
Each post 2a, 2b is introduced through its base into a foot plate 4, which will be described in more detail below with reference to Figure 2e.
Each post 2a, 2b is covered, at its top, by a closing plate 5, which will be described in more detail below with reference to Figure 2g.
The lower panel 3a is delimited, along its lower free edge, by a U-shaped piece 6 which extends between the two internal vertical edges of the posts 2a, 2b and which will be described in more detail below with reference to the Figure 2j.
The upper panel 3d is delimited, along its upper free border, by the same inverted U-shaped part 7 which extends between the two internal vertical edges of the posts 2a, 2b and which is identical to the part 6.
Between the two internal edges of the panels 3a and 3b, the panels 3b and 3c and the panels 3c and 3d is each time arranged an H-shaped part 8 which will be described in more detail with reference to FIG. 21.
In Figure 2c, there is shown an openwork panel 3b or 3d intended to be mounted in the fence element of Figure 1. It is in the form of an elongated rectangle whose short sides form the vertical edges 9 in the mounting position. In the vicinity of each of these edges and in the corner regions are made circular holes 10 into which are force-fitted cylindrical pins forming positioning pins 10A (see in particular Figures 4 and 5). The holes 10 of the right border are aligned with those of the left border.
A solid panel, 3a or 3c, is shown in FIG. 2d and likewise has holes 10.
If we refer to Figures 2a and 10 to 13, we can see that there is shown a post 2a, 2b seen from above.
It can be seen that the profile forming a post 2a, 2b comprises a central tube 11 of square section internally carrying longitudinal reinforcing ribs 12, at a rate of two per side of the square. These ribs 12 serve to bear against a sleeve which projects vertically from the ground or from a wall and on which the post is placed to fix it vertically according to a possible embodiment. Also, when the pole is fixed vertically by inserting liquid cement with quick setting from above, the ribs 12 facilitate the attachment of the cement.
Each flat side face of the central tube 11 externally carries two opposite walls which are joined, at the front, by a front wall having a longitudinal slot. Between the side walls and the split front wall, a groove is formed, the bottom of which is formed by the corresponding face of the square tube 11.
We will now describe in more detail the profile forming a post 2a, 2b in particular with reference to FIG. 10.
On three of the faces of the square 11 (faces 11a), the side walls (bearing the reference numeral 13) are perpendicular to said face 11a to which they are connected and are joined at the front by a front wall 14 parallel to the face corresponding lia of the square tube il, having a central longitudinal slot 15. Between the walls 13 and 14 and the face 11a of the tube, a groove 16 is formed centrally with respect to the face 11a.
Against the face 11a of each groove 16, is formed a central longitudinal groove 17 (see for example Figures 12 and 13) delimited by two ribs 18 parallel to the side walls 13. The roles of the grooves 16 and grooves 17 are indicated below.
On the fourth face of the square (face 11b), is formed a groove 19 bounded by two side walls 20 and 21 which extend at the front to form a front wall 22 (similar to a front wall 14) having a slot 23 ( see in particular Figures 11 and 12).
The wall 20 is connected to the face 11b at the angle between said face 11b and a neighboring face 11a and successively has a part 20a inclined at 45 ° with respect to the face 11b, then a return to the outside 20b , then a return 20c inwards, comprising a first curved part 20cl then a flat part 20c2, parallel to the face 11b. This part has a longitudinal internal bead 22a.
The wall 21 is connected to the wall 11b a little less than halfway between the two edges of said wall 11b. It is inclined at 45 ° and parallel to the part 20a of the wall 20. As indicated above, it is extended by the wall 22 which begins with a square return 22b towards the interior of the wall 21 and which extended by a new square return 22c which meets the front wall 22d which extends the wall 20c.
A groove 24 similar to the groove 17 is formed between the part 20a of the wall 20 and a bead 24a carried by the wall 11b between the part 20a and the wall 21.
The groove 19 is delimited at the front by the bead 22a and the part 22b and the slot 23 is formed between the bead 22a and the part 22c. The panels will therefore be introduced through the slot 23 opening into the outer wall 20c-22d (similar to a front wall 14).
Two ribs 25 are formed, one on the outside of the groove 16 of the wall 13 and the other on the adjacent wall 11a, to form a groove therebetween 26. The same groove 26 delimited by two grooves 25 is formed in the same way by being diametrically opposite. The role of the grooves 26 is indicated below.
The walls 20c-22d and the walls 14 are joined by curved portions 27 which will give the profiles forming the posts 2a, 2b an external appearance of a square section with rounded angles.
If we now refer to Figure 2e, we can see that there is shown a floor plate 4, in particular aluminum or steel, which has four holes 4a in the vicinity of each of its four corners and a hole central 4b configured to allow the introduction of a post 2a, 2b. This represents a particular embodiment for fixing the posts 2a, 2b to the ground or to a low wall.
If we now refer to Figure 2f, we can see that there is shown a wedge or lardon 28, in particular aluminum or steel, the role of which will be described with reference to Figures 3 and 5. This wedge 28 consists of a parallelepiped plate capable of being slid over the top of the post (Figure 3) in the free region of a groove (such as 16) in front of the front wall (such as 14) to fall at the base of the post 2a, 2b . The wedge 28 has a tapped central hole 29 for the introduction of a screw 30 (see Figures 3 and 5), the screw 30 passing through the slot 15 to be accessible from the outside.
We introduce in the upper part the wedge 28 equipped with its screw 30 which is not completely screwed and when it arrives in the lower part, its height is adjusted to the desired level by fully screwing the screw 30 which then comes to block the wedge 28. The lower edge of the first panel 3a introduced will then come into abutment on the upper edge of the wedge 28 (see Figure 5).
If we refer to Figure 2g, we can see that there is shown a first variant of a closure cap 5, in particular cast aluminum, steel, poly (vinyl chloride) (PVC ) or acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), which consists of a plate whose shape corresponds to the contour of the cross section of the post 2a, 2b and which has two holes 5a for the passage of two screws 5b with countersunk head (see Figure 2p ), whose threaded rods are intended to be housed in the grooves 26 described with reference to Figure 10, to close the posts 2a, 2b at their upper part.
In FIGS. 2h and 2i, a variant 5 ′ of the closure cap 5 has been shown. The cap 5 ′, in one piece, comprises a cylindrical body 5 ′ a intended to forcefully enter the opening delimited by the square it of the post 2a, 2b, the cylindrical body 5'a being connected to a cover plate 5'b intended to come to rest on the upper edge of a post 2a, 2b. The 5 'cap can be made of cast aluminum, steel, poly (vinyl chloride) (PVC) or acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS).
If we refer to Figure 2j, we can see that there is shown a U-shaped piece 6, 7 intended to cover the respectively lower or upper visible edge of the respectively lower or upper panel joining the posts 2a, 2b after mounting.
A U-shaped part is a hollow profile, in particular made of aluminum or steel, comprising two wings 6a, 7a connected to a bottom 6b, 7b. The internal walls of the wings 6a, 6b comprise longitudinal beads 6c, 7c promoting the attachment of the U-shaped part to the associated panel.
If we refer to Figure 2k, we can see that there is shown a profiled part in H 8, in particular aluminum or steel, comprising two uprights 8a joined in their center by a connecting wall 8b. The internal walls of the uprights 8a have longitudinal beads 8c to facilitate the attachment of the H-shaped part to the two adjacent adjacent panels.
If we now refer to Figure 21, we can see that there is shown a variant 8 'of the profile 8, also made in particular of aluminum or steel, which differs from the profile 8 in that the wings 8 'a, joined by a connecting part 8'b identical to the connecting part 8b, are hollow, the beads 8'c, identical to the bead 8c, being formed on the inner walls of the wings 8'a.
If we now refer to Figure 2m, we can see that there is shown an anti-theft plate 31 having two tabs 31a and 31b joined by a connecting portion 31c. The tongue 31a has a trapezoidal shape tapering away from the connecting part 31c. The tongue 31b is rectangular in shape.
Figures 2n to 2p illustrate the installation of the anti-theft or flight delay 31 plate.
The plate 31a is inserted by the tongue 31a in a U-shaped profile 7 on the inner wall which delimits the part 7b of the U-shaped profile 7. The size and trapezoidal shape of the plate 31 are such that the tongue 31a is blocked in the U-shaped part (Figure 2n).
When one comes to set up the U-shaped profile 7 thus equipped on the last panel put in place in the posts 2a, 2b, the connecting part 31c is placed in the slot 15 and the tongue 31b, in the space of the groove 16 of the post located between the front wall 14 and the front edges of the groove 19 (Figure 2o).
The cap 5 is then fixed on the post 2a or 2b by the screws 5b as indicated above.
If a malicious person wishes to steal the fence 1 or the panels 3a to 3d, it will be difficult for them to separate the U-shaped profile 7.
To mount a fence with the kit of the invention, the following successive operations are carried out: - the posts 2a, 2b are fixed to the ground in their respective positions at the angles required to make the fence; - It slides from above each post 2a, 2b and into the groove intended to receive the panels 3a to 3d the wedge 28 for adjusting the desired height relative to the ground of the lower panel 3a; - Dressing the lower panel 3a intended to be placed between two posts 3a, 3b with the U-shaped piece of cover 6 coming to cover its lower edge and with the connecting H-shaped piece 8, 8 'coming to cover its upper edge; - One or one of the intermediate panels or an upper panel is respectively dressed with a connecting H-shaped part 8, 8 ′ or a covering U-shaped part 7 covering its upper edge; - One slides a lower panel 3a, then the optional intermediate panel or panels 3b, 3c, then an upper panel 3d in the grooves opposite two neighboring posts 2a, 2b; - If necessary, an anti-theft member 31 is placed as defined above; - The cover covers 5 of the upper parts of the posts 2a, 2b are placed; and - if the panels are longer than the space remaining between two neighboring posts, the panels are cut to the desired length, the perforations are made in the cut panels in the vicinity of the lateral edges for the positioning of the positioning pins 10A .
